Micro Enterprises Department is working for integrated development of the family, bringing new projects of financial support for the rural people and acquiring social security through different insurance scheme. The common people are spending a huge sum for treatment. The death out of lifestyle disease is also high. Financial instability due to drugs and alcohol are also high in this area. Hence we aim at women mainstreaming and help to put a support to day to day life activities.
Home Appliance Scheme (HAS)The main activity through this project is implementation of Home appliances in collaboration with different women SHGs, SARGA and different parishes under Irinjalakuda Diocese.Since last six years we have successfully completed 13 batches. The scheme is very helpful for the women to support and strengthen their financial condition and interpersonal relationship.
Natural productsFor making availability of chemical free natural food products and traditional handicraft items a unit is working under Micro Enterprises Department.
Bamboo Project
AVARD started the Bamboo project with the technological assistance of Kerala Forest Research Institute at Velooppadam field Research Institute. The project aims at the upliftment of ‘Sambava Community’.We had given awareness classes for the Sambava community on taking pieces of bamboo on machinery. They have made traditional bamboo products daily. The team participated and sold the traditional handicraft products in the Bamboo Fest.
